Patch Test

Patch Test

The Patch Test is an effective method used to evaluate allergic reactions on the skin. This test is specifically applied to determine the causes of symptoms such as itching, redness, swelling, or rash on the skin. In our clinic, this test is conducted by a specialized team in skin allergies, aiming to enhance our patients' quality of life.

How is the Test Applied?

The Patch Test is performed by placing patches containing specific allergens on designated areas of the skin. Before the treatment, a detailed assessment of the patients' medical history is conducted to evaluate the skin's condition and ensure the proper selection of allergens.

The treatment process includes the following steps:

  1. Preparation: The area to be tested is cleaned, and the allergen-containing patches are applied.
  2. Waiting Period: The patch remains on the skin for approximately 48 hours. During this time, the skin is expected to react to the allergen.
  3. Evaluation: After 48 hours, the patches are removed, and any skin reactions are checked. If necessary, a follow-up evaluation may be conducted after 72 hours.

Why Patch Test?

The Patch Test is an important tool for understanding the causes of allergic skin reactions and determining appropriate treatment methods. Through this test, we provide our patients with information about potential allergens they may be exposed to. The test results assist in creating a personalized treatment plan.

In our clinic, Patch Test treatments are carried out with the latest technology and expert equipment. This enables us to prioritize our patients' health by providing accurate diagnoses and effective treatment options.
