Am I too old for Botox?

I have been working as a dermatology specialist for over ten years, and one of the most frequently asked questions is, "Doctor, is it time for my Botox?" As we all know by now, Botox is a medication used in the treatment of facial expression lines and excessive sweating.

The application points and dosage of Botox should be determined based on the person's needs and facial expressions. Let me remind you that for good results, it is important that the doctor applying Botox is an expert in this field and has been practicing it for many years.

I have clients who started Botox in their 20s, and of course, I have also applied Botox for the first time to clients in their 40s and 50s. I can confidently say that once wrinkles become deep, even if we apply Botox, silhouette-like lines may remain. That's why, as I always say, starting at an early age (typically between 25-30 years old) is my recommendation. After wrinkles have settled, we first apply Botox and then dermal fillers containing hyaluronic acid.

In summary, if your forehead lines or crow's feet deepen when making facial expressions, it means it's time for Botox.
