Laser Nail Fungus Treatment
Lasers are one of the most commonly used technologies today in both the aesthetic field and the treatment of diseases.
In our dermatology and aesthetic dermatology clinic, we also use lasers in many cases. One of these is the treatment of nail fungus.
Nail fungus is a significant skin condition due to its contagious nature and the aesthetic damage it causes to the appearance of the nails. Local treatments, solutions, and systemic medications can be used in its treatment. In cases where patients do not wish to use systemic medication or in resistant cases, Nd-Yag laser treatment can yield satisfactory results.
The treatment is considered painless. Depending on the condition of the nail, 3-4 sessions performed once a week over a 2-week period are usually sufficient.
It can be applied to both fingernails and toenails and to individuals of all ages.
Laser treatment for nail fungus can be applied as an additional option or as a standalone treatment to other treatment options.
